So yea, I'm into a bit of everything. Too much "stuff" (junk in other peoples terms) laying around the shop and I don't like to be unorganized. The solution? Build a toolbox. I love working with wood anyways, and want to get into woodworking a little deeper than I am, so I found this to be the perfect opportunity to brush up on some techniques previously unexplored by me (though that wouldn't take much as I'm a novice in the woorworking world).

Some say I have too many irons in the fire, but I say I'm just busy. On that note, I created my toolbox in about 30 hours stretched over a week and a weekend.

1st Project Complete - 10/15/2005
I copied the general style (frame and panel) from a couple pieces I saw on the internet, but the general layout and structure I had to come up with on the fly. All joints are rabbeted, and dados secure the MDF panels to the frame. Top surface is made from two sheets of laminated MDF with pine trimming. The rest of the structure is pine with the exception of the false fronts of the drawers which are also MDF.

Pictures below represent the finished project. I didn't bother taking pictures of the assembly though... Sorry.

That's all for now, until the next project.
