Well as the page title suggests, this is where you can read about the re-fit of my boat.

The simple things...
Well there were a few things that needed attention ASAP if I was to get a few rides outta her this season.

The mast mount was coming apart (meaning the 'glass where it mounts was rotten). I replaced it with new 'glass and replaced the stainless hardware with new as they were looking kinda ratty. One job done.

Next items on my list are to fix the crack in the keel (again another 'glass over since it is purely cosmetic) and there is also a small crack in the tiller which will require a little more creative engineering on my part. Other than that, I have to run the lights again, run new ropes through the mast and she'll be "ship shape".

The long run
The inside needs some attention eventually. I'm going to extend the bow bed a foot or so to accomodate my excessively long body, and build a cooler into a place where it seems that one should be. You'll see what I mean when I get picutres of the area.

After that, a minor re-arrangement of the paneling inside and some paint and it will look better than new in there, plus it'll be livable for a weekend get-away! That should prove interesting.

Once the interior is complete, I'll begin the cosmetic work on the hull and deck. Just some minor patching here and there, then a nice coat of paint and presto! A brand new old boat.
