New Update - 11/08/2004
RE-Building the Shop
At the bottom of the page you saw how it started... In this section you will see where it's going now, almost 2 years later. I decided to rennovate the KR's living conditions so that I can work the 3-4 months it's too cold and 2 months it's too hot down here. Added that to the constant temperature that the shop will have, it should be nice curing weather for the resins and such...

Check out the rennovations here...

Building the Shop
John and I actually got a hangar at OGB, and will be using it to build the KR's in. I use the term hangar loosely as it was far from habitable. Even the wasps and roaches left the place.

June 08, 2003 (11 hours) - We worked for a weekend and got the place pretty well cleaned up. Got most of the benches put together, and moved most all of our combined tools down there. You'll see shims under the tables.... They give you an idea of how UNLEVEL the old floor is. My bench is 12'6" long X 4' wide X 40" tall. John's bench is 11'6" long X 4' wide X 36" tall. My fuselage is just that much longer than his. Click on a thumbnail to see what's up:

Oops, John has to trim the table top :-/ John's mostly completed building table. Just need to make sure it's flat and level now. My almost complete bench. Both benches. Yes mine is taller... And longer. In my stubborness, I came back that night to finish up my bench. Here it is with the X-braces on it.

June 09, 2003 (4 hours) - I went up on the roof today and tried to fill the leaks (about 5 million) with roofing tar. We found the leaks since it rained for damned near 5 days straight. God I love the South... We'll see if my patches hold since, yup, it's supposed to rain in the next couple days.
